Angler's Night Out: Food, Fishing, Knowledge
We had a great time at our first Angler’s Night Out!
Ray rolled in with a truck load of shrimp, crawfish, and veggies and made some delicious food.
Josh Panyard, who represents Johnson Outdoors who makes Minn Kota and Humminbird products, gave an in-depth presentation regarding using live scopes and underwater monitoring. He was very thorough in explaining techniques that, when utilized properly, can help you understand what is going on underneath your boat when trying to identify fish beds. He even went into how using live scopes aid in search and rescue for emergency personnel.
Jon Nelson, representing Torrent Outdoors, spoke on the intentionality of bait design. The intricacies of color, shape, material, and rigging all are purposeful and all are considered when designing lures. He did a good job of explaining the different uses for each of the baits his company has designed and in what situations they are best used. You can pick up a pack of his baits in the Anderson Marine showroom today!
Cashion Rods showed up in a big way. A big thanks to Jason that enabled us to showcase the unique carbon fiber design of these rods. Jason explained that the vision behind Cashion relies heavily on education behind choosing the proper rod for the angler and the situation. Be on the lookout for a seminar from Jason and the Cashion Rods team sometime soon!
We also want to mention Mitch Fox, Ryan Haykal, and Ron Holt as representatives of the Mt. Juliet Fishing club.
Curt Allen was also there, representing Anchored By Grace. If you want more information regarding the Anchored By Grace fishing tournament, you can visit the link below.
